Exact Online — legacy integration

The direct Exact Online API integration is legacy since September 2026. It has been replaced by the universal bookkeeper inbox forward — a single setting that works with every accounting tool worldwide, including Exact Online via their built-in Scan & Herken feature.

What this means for you:

• New users: use the bookkeeper inbox forward. In Exact, grab your Scan & Herken address and paste it into Settings → Company → Defaults → Bookkeeper email. Every invoice you send lands in Exact automatically — same result as the old API integration.
• Existing tenants with an active API connection: your setup keeps working under the hood — no data loss, no breaking changes. But the connection UI is hidden and we recommend switching to the inbox-based flow at your next convenience.
• Why the change: the inbox forward works with all accounting software without per-provider setup, has no OAuth-token maintenance, and matches what most competitors (WeFact, Moneybird, Jortt) do. Simpler for you, simpler for us.
