What is Stripe Connect and do I need it?

Stripe Connect is how Stripe pays you directly. Required for invoice pay links, deposits, automatic dunning, and Stripe refunds. Not required for manual invoices.

Settings, Invoices, Stripe, Connect Stripe. Sign in to existing or create new Stripe account, fill business info, verify identity. Return to Advanced Booking when complete.

How do I create an invoice?

Advanced Booking, Sales, Invoices, New invoice. Manually with customer and line items, from a completed booking, or by converting an accepted quote. Save Draft then Send.

What are the invoice statuses?

Draft (editable, not sent), Sent, Overdue (past due date), Paid, Credit note (refunded), Cancelled (before payment), Void (Stripe voided).

How do deposits flow through to the invoice?

Deposit appears as a post total deduction: Subtotal, VAT, Total, minus Deposit paid, Amount due. Matches Dutch accounting convention since the deposit was already a VAT taxable event.

How do customers pay an invoice?

With Stripe Connect, the email includes a link to a hosted Stripe page with a pay button (card or iDEAL). Without Stripe, the email contains the PDF and your bank details and you mark Paid manually.

Stripe Connect invoices get automatic polite reminders via Stripe Smart Retries. Manual invoices have no auto reminders; use the Manual reminder template to send a customised nudge.

How do I refund or credit an invoice?

Stripe paid: Refund via Stripe button, partial or full. Manually paid: Create credit note to generate the document, then handle the bank refund yourself.

How long are invoices kept?
